The university grants degree credits for up to 70 semester units (105 trimesters) transferred by community colleges. Courses of more than 70 semester units receive specialized credits and can be used to meet university requirements. IGETC is a series of California community college courses that meet UCSB`s general training requirements at all three colleges.
