The U.S. Department of Education and FedLoan Servicing provide a Certificate of Employment form to verify your employment and eligible payments. Once you and your employer have completed the Certificate of Employment form, you can send it to FedLoan Servicing along with your employer`s certification.* Filling out the form will not only help you start a paper path, but will also help you track eligible payments.
Ten years of payments are hard to track, so it`s helpful to be able to log into your account at any time and see the amount of your payment. Since you must be employed by a qualified employer while making the 120 eligible payments, it is essential to be able to track all your information for PSLF approval. By completing the PSLF Certificate of Employment form, it is easier for you and your credit service provider to apply. FedLoan Servicing is the loan service provider chosen by the federal government to manage the entire PSLF program on its own. The work certificate form is sent to Fedloan Servicing. Once your form is received and processed, your student loans will be transferred to Fedloan Servicing. If you receive a rejection notice because the UW did not provide any information, send the rejection notice to the ISC at ischelp@uw.edu. A labor specialist will then work directly with FedLoan Servicing to clarify your job. One thing you should do is keep copies of every certificate of employment form you submit.

As the ISC is closed to the public during the public health crisis, as a temporary measure, employees can email their PSLF form to ISC for electronic completion and return.
